These are brand name
American Olean
tiles.
These tiles are 4-1/4 inches by 4-1/4 inches.
These tiles are 5/16 inch thick...less just a bit.
Using my digital calipers tiles measure 4.30" wide on the self-spacing lugs and .34" thick
Measures 4.27" wide on the square edge.
These tiles were made in the1970's -1990's
Using a Vintage American Olean tile chart:

These tiles have self-spacing lugs; little bumps on the edges that separate the tiles for grouting
These New Old Stock Tiles have a matte type glazed with a textured finish...called
crystalline glazed
by the maker.
Imprinted on back of tiles is: American or A O with numbers & made in USA
